The Dayton Mall continues to take and handle donations. Thanks to the efforts of local area non-profit organizations such as FLOC, the Dayton Mall Non-Profit Co-op has taken a permanent residence. Located in an empty store in the Dayton Mall the Co-op continues to supply food and essential items. The new location is set up like a store with volunteers helping to stock and sort items.
However, the Co-op is beginning to run low on supplies and will need support and donations to continue to serve the community.

How the Dayton Mall is Working with Other Non-Profits
Although the Dayton Mall is collecting, sorting, and storing items they do not directly distribute. By having other non-profits distribute items to the community the Dayton Mall Non-Profit Co-op is able to reach more people and do more with the additional help. This process is beneficial for charities across Dayton in many ways.
Many non-profits do not have a dedicated space. This can make storing donations difficult and would require the charity to invest in volunteers to store and manage these donations while they wait for a need. With the Dayton Mall as a resource, charities can easily collect needed items as they need them and can focus their volunteers on the services they are dedicated toward providing.
What Does the Process Look Like for Non-Profits
All non-profits must come in for a training session. This normally takes about 2 minutes. Volunteers are shown how to shop, where to park, and more. Once they have been trained the Dayton Mall Non-profit Co-op keeps track of donations by having volunteers sign in and out and take note of how many families they have served.
