For more than 40 years, FLOC (For Love of Children) has been bringing hope, opportunity, and joy to children throughout the Miami Valley.
Because of generous donors and an incredible team of volunteers, we serve more than 12,000 children every year through educational programs, life skills, community support, and unforgettable experiences – all designed to remind every child that they are valued, capable, and loved. FLOC is a 100% volunteer-run organization dedicated to helping children who have experienced abuse, neglect, foster care, homelessness, or other difficult circumstances.

FLOC on FIVE
Walk through the doors of FLOC on FIVE, and you’ll quickly discover it’s much more than an office.
It’s a place where children discover new passions, build confidence, make friends, and simply get to be kids. Every Monday and Thursday, our fifth-floor space in downtown Dayton comes alive with laughter, creativity, and learning.
Every program is built around one simple idea:
When a child feels supported, anything is possible.
FLOC on FIVE is open on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Our Story
Learn more about FLOC and what we do
FLOC began servicing area children in 1980, and has grown into an industry of volunteers who are passionate about caring for children who are neglected and abused, children in foster care and children in need of community resource. Our new administrative offices opened in the fall of 2011. Located at the Talbott Tower, we have over 4500 square feet of space in which to offer our services to the children in need in the greater Dayton area.

How To Find Us
We recommend that visitors and volunteers park in the Talbott Tower Parking Garage, located at
118 W 1st St Talbott Tower. Please check in with a valet at the front desk.
Once inside the Talbott Tower, enter the elevators across from the front desk and find us up on the 5th floor!
