Retro Rewind to feature The Avalons and Ryan Roth (as Elvis) and the Comeback Special Ban
DAYTON, OH (May 24, 2021) – Dayton Mall invites families to celebrate the start of summer at a special concert event called Retro Rewind, on June 19, starting at 1 p.m. Retro Rewind, which is also a fundraiser for the non-profit organization For Love of Children Dayton (FLOC), will open with rock and roll sensation The Avalons. Voted Best of Dayton in 2018, The Avalons are known for their outstanding harmonies, high energy choreography, audience participation and hilarious fun. They’ve shared the stage with such well-known artists as The Beach Boys, The Four Tops, The Temptations and more.
Also staring at the event is Ryan Roth and the Comeback Special Band. Ryan has been entertaining folks all over the country and is an award-winning entertainer and Elvis tribute artist. He brings energy and excitement to the stage with the music of legendary Elvis Presley, and has many surprises up his sleeve. Young and old alike will be mesmerized and entertained by his performance.
“We are so excited to be able to feature The Avalons and Ryan Roth at our Retro Rewind Concert Event,” says Dave Duebber, General Manager at Dayton Mall. “They are all so talented and so much fun, and definitely Dayton fan favorites.”
Concert-goers are encouraged to embrace the Retro theme, and to dress up in their best 1950’s garb. Prizes will be awarded throughout the day for costumes and more. Dan Edwards, long time local media personality, is the emcee, and sure to keep everyone laughing and having fun.
Food and beverages will be available from a variety of food trucks including Big Boys BBQ, Heart Attack on Wheels, Little Z Concessions and Mom Makes Mean Melts. In addition, beer, wine and mixed drinks will be available thanks to Heidelberg Distributing Company, and proceeds from Retro Rewind beer and alcohol sales will benefit FLOC. FLOC serves over 6,000 children in the greater Dayton area who are neglected, abused, in foster care or who need community resources. FLOC is a 100% volunteer-based agency.
The concert is free, and families are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs. The gates open at 11:30 a.m. and food trucks will be ready to serve at that time. Restrooms and handwashing
stations will be available at the event site. No coolers or umbrellas are permitted, and seats are on a first come basis.
Dayton Mall remains focused on providing a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. In the continued need to address COVID-19, the town center has proactively implemented additions to the Code of Conduct, effective until further notice.
These additions include the following guidelines:
• Practice social distancing and stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people.
• Covering your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover in accordance with state and local guidelines.
• Do not gather in groups.
• Adhere to each individual tenant’s COVID-19 policies.
• Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, recommendations and mandates regarding COVID-19.

Dayton Mall’s already rigorous disinfectant and cleaning practices will also continue many times per day, including periodically disinfecting areas most susceptible to the spread of germs. Alcohol-based hand sanitizer dispensers are located in highly trafficked areas and walkways for public use.
