2020 has been a crazy year for everyone and has definitely added some complications to volunteering efforts. Christmas for Kids, one of our larger programs, has not been except from these changes. However, we believe these changes will make being a volunteer and helping to provide Christmas to children in need even easier for our donors.
What is Christmas for Kids?
Christmas for Kids is one of our biggest fundraisers. We serve thousands of children Christmas joy. Children attending two local area schools, and those represented through Montgomery County Children’s Services are given the chance to have their own presents from Santa with your help. Every donation we receive helps a child that will go without in one way or another. Our biggest event for giving every year is our annual Christmas For Kids. We see many children from all around Dayton and we provide them with a new winter coat, gloves, and gifts for around their tree. Holiday giving is truly a magical time for children and that’s what we hope to provide every year with Christmas for Kids.
How Can I Donate to Christmas for Kids?
You have two important ways of giving to Christmas to Kids. First you can become one of our Sustaining members. A sustaining member helps us by providing a donation on either a monthly or yearly bases. This can be done by clicking the donate button at the top of the site and hitting “make a monthly or yearly donation”.
The other way you can give back is by shopping our Christmas for Kids Wishlist. Simple follow this link: SHOP NOW
Simply add the items that you would like to provide to your cart and when selecting shipping options select the suggested address for FLOC.
This form of donation helps the organization save money on donation drives and helps our toy cottage collect the items they need to stock the shelves. Although donations and volunteer opportunities may be different this year into next, we hope to make becoming a volunteer with FLOC easier than ever before.
