We’re currently running low on the supplies we give to kids coming into care via our Tools for School Program.

What is FLOC’s Tools for School

Our FLOC volunteers are constantly fundraising in order to cover the many needs presented by our local children. One of our greatest responsibilities is in filling the basic academic needs presented by the thousands of children we serve throughout the year. 

Having so many students return back into the classroom this year, we’re at a point where we need to ask for help with replenishing the school supplies we donate to the children who need them the most. 

Why Tools for School is So Important

Many of us remember the dread of going into class and not having a pencil to use for the day. For many children, it’s not forgetting class supplies that put them into that situation but not have access to them to begin with. 

We believe that children deserve every opportunity to succeed in the classroom and in the world. When they don’t have the same supplies as the rest of their class, it can be difficult to keep up. That’s where we come in. 

When a student shows a drive to succeed, we take that roadblock away. By helping these children get the things they need to be successful, they perform better in class and they have more drive to make a better future for themselves and others in Dayton. 

While we appreciate the donation of all sorts of school supplies, at this time we DON’T NEED:
